The premiere wooden boat show Concours d' Elegance is coming to Lake Tahoe August 12 & 13. Boomers love the show because it often reminds them of early childhood days when the Christ-Craft was relatively affordable. Boating enthusiasts flock to the Concours to see what collectors have or are selling. Christ-Craft has also added new models throughout the years that reflect memories of yesteryear.
Whether looking for a Corsair, Launch, Catalina, or Commander, the models vary along with price but America's love affair of the Christ- Craft has sustained the test of time.
The 44th annual Concours d' Elegance will be staged at the historic Obexer's Boat Company in Homewood, California, on Lake Tahoe's West Shore. The two day show is open to the public Aug. 12, 10-4:30 p.m with the Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. The show continues Aug. 13, 9- 4:40 p.m.
Concours entries are scored using the Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation's own nationally-acclaimed 100 point system and score sheet. Each boat is scored in multiple categories and for restoration.
